Kinder Karate

Kinder Karate is a special program designed for young children between the age of 3 and 5 years old.

Children will learn about basic dojo etiquette, terminology and fitness in a safe and friendly environment. Students will receive a belt stripe and certificate upon completion of each program cycle, but there is no formal testing.

Classes run in 8-week cycles.. The first class of each session is a trial class for new students. If you would like to observe a class before the trial, please schedule an appointment with Sensei Barb.

To help keep our kids safe during the pandemic, we've changed the Kinder Karate format. Starting in Sept 2020, all Kinder Karate students must accompanied by a parent or caregiver who will actively participate in the class. The caregiver’s main role is that to help ensure physical distance in class and manage the equipment. All participants are expected to wear a karate uniform. Adults need to wear a mask. For children age 5 and under, masks are optional. Older siblings or members of your “bubble” may act as caregiver in certain cases.  Please speak to Sensei Barb if you have any questions.  Learn more about our Covid Policy at Elora Karate Dojo.
